We focused Vinas La Campana inward, creating a beautiful, multi-level court that was so effective, residents are virtually unaware of the surrounding area. The community even offers a children's playground, basketball court and fitness center.

And we teamed up with our non-profit client to pioneer some of the most cost-effective construction and homebuyer financing ever devised for affordable home ownership.

Three lenders financed construction: Bank of America at cost of funds, and the Roman Catholic and Episcopal Archdioceses of Los Angeles completely interest-free.

Meanwhile, we teamed up with the Century Freeway Housing Program and the Bell Gardens Redevelopment Agency to create an unparalleled system of loans that made these homes affordable to families earning less than $1,750 a month.

The Los Angeles Times headline read, "Families Thrill to an American Dream Realized". And the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development featured Vinas La Campana in a publication entitled "New American Neighborhoods: Building Homeownership Zones to Revitalize Our Nation's Communities".
