Loren oversees the company’s strategic planning and operations. He founded Community Dynamics in 1986, and has presided over the development, buildout and sale of more than 1,400 homes for workforce families. In public-private partnerships with progressive cities, financial institutions and inspired design teams, he has pioneered some of the most innovative and uplifting affordable homeownership and residential mixed use communities in the United States. Loren brings a passion for perfection to his work, and looks for the same from his colleagues and staff. The Company is a two-time winner of the HUD Secretary’s Platinum and Gold Awards for Excellence in Affordable Housing, the building industry’s highest honor for homeownership communities targeted to working moms and dads.
A native of Los Angeles, Loren resides in Santa Monica with his wife Ping, the Founding Director of UCLArts and Healing. Loren served on his city’s Housing Commission and the Board of Governors of the local Boys and Girls Clubs for seven and 15 years respectively.
